I was honored to be chosen as the artist for the John Barnard Uplifting Communities Award. This award, created by The Plantrician Project and the Vitamix Foundation, celebrates leaders who are improving community health through plant based nutrition in places that have long carried the weight of limited access and limited support. Their mission is one I believe in, and it means a great deal to contribute to work that lifts people through education, access, and long term well being.

They placed their trust in me to create the artwork for this award, and I approached the piece with a sense of responsibility and genuine respect for the lives and efforts it represents. It was deeper work. It asked me to listen, to observe, and to shape something that carried both their mission and my own way of seeing.
