CHASING CHROMA 2023

A Solo Show Tour

In "Chasing Chroma," I dove headfirst into the vibrant world of color, unleashing its emotional power.

Each piece is a dynamic testament to the profound impact hues have on us.

When you encounter my paintings, it's an electrifying invitation—to immerse yourself, breathe in the colors, and let the emotions explode. With this solo show, I was on a thrilling quest to forge visceral connections, intensifying emotions, and craft an exhilarating experience that echoes long after.

Reviews

  • Simply an amazing show. Your bodies of work each stand on their own. But together, as you showcased them, they really reflect your artistic journey, which also reflects your life experiences, so aptly put in your artist statement. I'm super proud and happy for you. It takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there, especially with work that is so deeply personal. But you knocked it out of the park. Wishing you tons more recognition and success, which I know are coming. Great job!

  • Kathleen's "Chasing Chroma" exhibition is a thoughtfully cohesive, wonderfully passionate solo presentation of eye-popping, sensorial, and color-drenched abstract art that treats your senses and makes you smile from the inside out. The whole show of 30+ pieces impressively presents Kathleen's strong command of color and texture in her use of paint while imbuing each piece with a deeply felt positive emotion for her viewers. I especially enjoyed engaging with the painterly architecture that Kathleen ably achieved in her lush, textured series of twelve 12x12 oil paintings where each is rendered in the same technique and rich color palette, but with different yet equally exciting chromatic results. "Chasing Chroma" is a beautiful and memorable experience for all. Treat yourself and go see it!

  • Kathleen's exhibit "Chasing Chroma: Abstract Flow of Intuitive Expression" is a stunning display of colorful, inspiring and ethereal yet powerful paintings. The exhibit is beautifully presented on the walls at a + c architects in Skokie, an inviting spaceto ponder Kathleen's pieces up close and from a distance. An exquisite collection of nwe work by one of my favorite artists that should not be missed.
