I purchased “If The Skies Could Speak” from Kathleen Heitmann and I am so grateful. Kathleen captured the essence of the sky and the sea with such a unique and joyful perspective. This painting features a beautiful pink sky graced with highlights of yellow, white and blue hovering over a tranquil Caribbean Sea. The sky is full of love and energy while the sea is serene and alluring. Every time I look at this painting, it promotes feelings of joy and tranquility and I feel so honored to have this work of art in my home.

Kathleen's ability to paint a thought, a feeling, or a beautiful image from the natural world, is unparalleled in my experience. Almost every one of her paintings leaves me breathless and filled with joy.

It has been such a joy to see Kathleen express herself through painting. I look forward to viewing each and every one that she shares with so many of us on social media. Even the titles that she chooses excite me. I am honored to have one of her beautiful abstracts hanging on a prominent wall in my home. Kathleen’s powerful, truthful, and loving energy is felt through the canvas and is now a part of my daily life. I highly recommend treating yourself to a painting by this lovely woman and artist!
When I first saw Kathleen’s work, I knew I had to have her painting's hanging in my house and office. When you look at her paintings, you can see the passion and love she puts into each and every piece. The first painting I purchased looked just like my backyard—I had to have it. I felt like Kathleen had been there and painted it just for me. The second piece was of a dandelion puff and again, it was like she had painted it just for me. I had just ordered my business cards and the main picture is a dandelion puff just like her painting. Her paintings reach to my soul. You can see her passion and love in each piece she does— whether abstract or still life— a piece of her soul shines through.

The minute I saw ‘As Nature Gazes at Me Through Silence’ I knew I had to have it. It just spoke to me. Although I love a lot of other paintings that Kathleen has painted, this is the one I just had to have. It fits perfectly in my home with my décor. Kathleen was awesome to deal with. Whether Kathleen is working with a client on a specific request or channeling her own muse, her art is a wonder to behold. I think her process of trusting the flow of energy in the moment translates to her paintings, imbuing them with a sensation that transcends the literal objectivity of her work. This is probably why her abstracts especially speak to me. The energy is free-flowing with no ‘subject’ interfering with the relationship of the viewer to the art. That said, I think all of her art radiates with that same energy, whether it’s ‘realistic’ or surreal. There’s always something more to her work than first meets the eye.
When i saw the painting by Kathleen that simply sang out to me I was thrilled to buy it, instantly. The day I opened the delivered package in my new home I was so excited. It is a moment that was extraordinary to me. I shall always remember playing around with where to put it…taking photos of it here and there. When was the last time I played like this…lost in time to the placement of something of such beauty… I once told her I would have so many of her paintings that I would decorate my whole house with them. And how glorious that would be. Kathleen is a prolific painter. I am reminded of Van Gogh, the passion he had to the point of painting a masterpiece a day. Productivity is an appealing phenomenon to witness. It is wondrous. She is able to alight upon subjects sublimely. Alive with the touch of her brush to paint brings the colors forth, imaginatively, pleasant and exciting. I happen to be a collector of her paintings who is also privy to know that she is one of the most lovable and loving human beings. Now I ask you, who doesn’t want a touch of that in their lives? Touchstones are imperative to our happiness. Kathleen is one to me. I guess it is this, the magic in her work must come from her genuine understanding of love. Love must be the prettiest light by which to paint. Her paintings speak to the place in us that resonates with a cooing…of the soul.

I have known Kathleen for 20 years. I’ve known Kathleen the artist but a couple of years. She has blossomed! I was ‘liking’ her paintings on social media, ‘loving’ even more with time as her work evolved. On a winter’s day in 2017 , Kathleen posted my painting ‘How Many Wishes Would You Like?’ I just knew it was for me. It ‘spoke’ to me. I contacted Kathleen in a private message. She replied immediately- SOLD! Within a couple of weeks my painting was delivered with kit gloves from Colorado to my doorstep in Chicago. I have displayed my dandelion painting where I have contact with it multiple times daily. It speaks to me each time I pass by... time to make that wish! Kathleen is not only a talented artist but a responsive and dependable merchant. Oh, and she happens to be a dear friend.
